Gomco circumcision

The Gomco circumcision method is one of the most widely used techniques for performing circumcision in infants. This procedure, regarded as safe and effective, utilizes a device known as the Gomco clamp and is conducted under local anesthesia.

This method is particularly valued for its effectiveness in minimizing bleeding and reducing the risk of complications. After the procedure, follow-up care is provided to monitor healing, and simple post-operative care is recommended to ensure a quick and comfortable recovery. The Gomco method is generally well-tolerated by infants and provides excellent aesthetic and functional results.

At Horizon MD, our surgeons and family doctors are experienced in this technique and ensure that each step is carried out under optimal conditions of safety and comfort for your child.

Plastibell™ circumcision

Plastibell™ circumcision is performed under local anesthesia and is particularly suited for anxious or less cooperative children, as it is easier, quicker, and requires no dressing. The Plastibell™ method involves using a transparent plastic ring with a handle that detaches at the end of the procedure. This safe technique minimizes bleeding and eliminates the need for sutures, as the glans is protected by the ring throughout the circumcision. The ring gradually detaches within 10 days following the procedure.
